§ 2-107. Acquisition of lands and conservation areas fund.

  • There is hereby created within the city's chart of accounts, to be appropriately numbered and named as required by the state-mandated chart of accounts, an account the moneys in which shall be used solely and only for the acquisition of lands and conservation areas and for the payment of principal of and interest on any bonds issued by the city for the acquisition of such land and conservation areas. To the extent permitted by law, such account shall be a restricted account and unexpended balances therein from one (1) fiscal year shall be budgeted by the city manager in his proposed budget for the next ensuing fiscal year to such account. The city commission in any budget may, in addition to the unexpended balances, appropriate to such account such other funds as it deems appropriate. Donations made to the city restricted by donors for land and park acquisitions shall also be placed in such account.
