§ 14-11. Lien due and payable after posting of notice.

  • The lien for the cost of clearing such lots, parcels or tracts of land or of removing or remedying the condition thereof found to be violative of this chapter, shall become due and payable thirty (30) days after posting of the notice of completion of such work, except in cases wherein a petition is filed within such period as aforesaid, and whereupon consideration of such petition the city commission has changed and corrected the amount of lien as entered into the Sanitary Lien Book, and in such cases the lien shall become due and payable thirty (30) days after such city commission action. After the respective due dates above fixed all unpaid liens shall become delinquent and shall thereafter bear interest at the rate of six (6) percent per annum.
